Maintenance tasks are part of everyday life in many companies: checking systems, meeting deadlines, providing documents – and preferably without Excel chaos or manual reminders. This is exactly where our current showcase comes in.

In the first edition of our new series “Widget Workshop”, we show how to digitally represent recurring maintenance tasks in a clear system – thanks to individually configurable arcWidgets.

The Use Case: Keeping an Eye on Lightning Protection Inspections & Co.

Many technical services need to reliably organize maintenance tasks over the years. Our example concerns a regular inspection of the lightning protection system of a property. Not only does deadline management play a role – tasks, documents, and communication also need to be structured and easily accessible.

The Solution: An Intuitive Maintenance Management

With arcWidgets, we have created an interface that:

✅ creates maintenance tasks in a process-driven manner
✅ visually captures the maintenance status (incl. progress bar)
✅ automatically calculates next and past appointments
✅ tasks can be flexibly added or adjusted
✅ documents and appointments are directly linked

💡 Especially helpful: The progress bar shows at a glance what is still open – and which task has already been completed.
